Swedish death metal band Bloodbath were forced to postpone their upcoming North American tour due to a mistake with their visas. The tour was scheduled to start earlier this week at Maryland Deathfest and Modified Ghost Festival.
Bloodbath released a statement earlier today explaining the mistake made by the U.S. Immigration and Embassy would force them to reschedule their first North American tour.
“We were still trusting they would issue it in time to the very bitter end,” the statement read, “But now with less than 24 [hours] to go, we have to accept our fate; it ain’t gonna happen.”
The band promised that the tour would be rescheduled and more information on ticket refunds would be provided “asap.”
Bloodbath formed in 1998 and have gained popularity since their Breeding Death EP was released in 2000.
