Blue Heaven drop “Shade” from new album

Maryland indie-pop band Blue Heaven dropped “Shade” last week from their upcoming debut album, Volume One, out June 15 via No Sleep Records.

Singer and guitarist Levi Miller explains that the song is about “falling for those who are as blue as you.” The upcoming album Volume One is described as a “12 track journey” through Miller’s mind and all the things he deals with.

Volume One is available via No Sleep Records on June 15, but you can listen to “Shade” right here.


Elder Brother release new music video for “Weak Days”

Ahead of their sophomore album, Stay Inside, Elder Brother have released a new music video for their single “Weak Days” which you can watch on their website.

Elder Brother is a collaboration between Dan Rose and Kevin Geyer. Rose spoke about “Weak Days,” describing how it was inspired by an Angel Olsen song and is one of his favorites on the new record. The band released their debut album, Heavy Head, in 2014 and followed it up with an EP titled Wish You Were Here.

Stay Inside comes out this Friday, May 18 via Pure Noise Records.


Spiral Skies streams debut album ahead of release

Swedish rock band Spiral Skies release their debut album, Blues for a Dying Planet, this Friday via AOP Records. But fans can listen to it ahead of time through a partnership with Deaf-Forever.de.

Self-described as “rock from another planet,” Spiral Skies has been compared to bands like Jefferson Airplane, Curvved Air and the Devil’s Blood.

You can listen to Blues For a Dying Planet here and purchase the record starting May 18, via AOP Records.


The Bae Beach Club release “A Place of Our Own”

The Bae Beach Club have released a brand new song, “A Place of Our Own” off of their new ep coming out this Friday.

The band said the song is about finding “truly authentic love” in a digital, superficial age. Other songs on the EP are said to provide “a quick escape route to an intrinsic beachy dreamland.”

To make their upcoming EP a reality, the Bae Beach Club moved from Toronto, ON to Vancouver, BC to record at Monarch Studios.

Our Escape is out this Friday, May 18. You can listen to “A Place of Our Own” below.


Americana Dou Max Caddy release new single

Max Caddy recently released “Hear Me Out,” off their upcoming ep Straight to the Face, out June 1.

“Hear Me Out” features Liquor Radio’s Coralie Colmez on fiddle and Alex Cohen on drums. These partnerships were an attempt by Max Caddy to recapture a collaborative sound to their music.

Each song off of the upcoming ep is meant to highlight different aspects of the Max Caddy’s unique style as it attempts to fuse multiple genres into one.
