Australian stoner-punk band Dune Rats have dropped a new single called “Scott Green.” The song is off of their upcoming album, scheduled for release in 2017 via Dine Alone Records, and is a follow up to the first single “Bullshit.” You can listen to the song below.
Produced by Zac Carper of FIDLAR, “Scott Green” is a fun song about finding some green at a party. The song gets right into the point, with instrumentals similar sounding to Nirvana and early punk-grunge artists. Carper is supposed to be on board for the whole album, and “Scott Green” will be the next song to get a classic Dunies video.
The song came to the guys as they were with Carper at Joshua Tree in America. Hey had five days “to write some songs in between tours, and they “busted out a f*ck load of tunes having a blast in the middle of bum fuck nowhere.” One day the all went to Walmart to ask people if they “Scott Green” and wrote a song about it.
“Scott Green” is just the latest success story in Dune Rats’ increasing career, which includes sold-out Australia Tours and playing festivals around the world. The single is supposedly going to be followed by some news about the upcoming album, so keep an eye on Music Unlabeled for the news.
