“Open Heart Failure” by Of Clocks And Clouds: Single Review

It’s been a wild time for me lately, so it’s nice to be able to lose myself in a review finally. I’m at one of those points where I literally have no clue what I want to listen to until I’m already listening, so for something new to grab me it has got to be good. Luckily, Of Clocks And Clouds manage to deliver with their single “Open Heart Failure”. I went in blind, and i came out feeling much more collected than I have all day.

This instrumental track surges with energy, but never overwhelms the listener. It sweeps them up in the current, but it doesn’t let them drown. The track zips right along, reverberating with an easy blend of music and energy. It’s over all too quickly, and it feels almost sudden to an extent. The song feels far from incomplete though, as it never once once makes you question where its going or what its aiming to do.

All in all? A wonderful track that was just what my ears needed tonight. It has a wonderful pacing and a fantastic energy that both soothes the soul and energizes it with the same exact notes. I definitely think it is worth a listen, and maybe even a few minutes on repeat.
