SilverSnakes.pngSilver Snakes have just released a new song, “Red Wolf.” The song is from their upcoming album, Saboteur, dropping February 5 through Evil Ink Records and Pelagic Records. You can pre-order the album from the record labels individual sites: Evil Ink Records (U.S.) and Pelagic Records (Europe).

Silver Snakes are an underground rock band from LA. When asked about their new song, vocalist and guitarist Alex Estrada had this to say:

“”Red Wolf” was one of the last songs written for the album,” says vocalist/guitarist Alex Estrada. “We had this 8 minute long sludge track that I was having trouble with lyrically so I decided to rework all of the music while keeping the focus on the unconventional tuning. Lyrically it was inspired by the mysticism of protection spells; one in particular called the “7 knots untying” and how that would apply to political and environmental activists seeking to sabotage their enemies.”

The band has plans to do shows in LA, California, but will go on tour with Coheed and Cambria, glassjaw, and I The Mighty in February to support the new album. You can buy tickets at yearofthesnakes.com and listen to “Red Wolf” at Noisey.com
