Attribution to CNN.Yesterday on November 13th, there were a series of terrorism attacks in Paris. Attacks included multiple shootings and explosions at the National Stadium. There was also a massacre and hostage situation at the Bataclan Theatre where American band Eagles of Death Metal were playing a show. French authorities say that 128 people are dead from the Paris attacks, with at least 80 of those being concertgoers from the Bataclan Theatre. The official death count is expected to change as more things become clear.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks but nothing can be confirmed as of yet.

Eagles of Death Metal released an official statement on their Facebook in the wake of the attack, but have yet to make any further statements. Multiple media organizations report the safety of the band though, and Pitchfork reported earlier that they will cancel their remaining European dates and will return to the US.

The Deftones were in attendance at the Eagles of Death Metal concert during the attack, but have confirmed their safety on Twitter. They were set start a three night residency at the Betaclan Theatre tonight, but are headed home instead.

They’re only one of many bands who have canceled their shows as a result of the Paris Attacks. Foo Fighters have canceled their remaining tour dates, and U2 have canceled a previously-scheduled concert that was set to air live on HBO tomorrow night.
