Just a single today, but Selena Gomez tends to release some good ones. Admittedly, it’s been a while since I last heard anything by her or sought out one of her songs to listen to, but this single managed to jump out to me today. And so it goes that since it caught my eye, I’ll lend it my ear.

The song starts off with deep sounds and a beat heavy atmosphere, causing the vocals to sound almost breathless almost instantly. The song flows easily, and pulls the listener into it. It’s easily to groove along to, but it comes with the risk of missing some small details that decorate the melody of the song. The song feels minimalist in nature, but it has so many small details that it’s impossible to call it that. There are so many details in the first listen through of the song that it makes me wonder what would be heard on a second run through.

“Same Old Love” is a great song that has a lot to offer the ears. I definitely recommend that you give it a listen, because it is worth at least the first listen, and any number of times that you choose to listen to it after that.
