“Show Me Your Fangs” by Matt Nathanson: Single Review

The titular single off Matt Nathanson’s upcoming album has been released, and I’ve wasted absolutely no time in listening to it. I do tend to get excited whenever Matt Nathanson releases something new, so this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise for today if you’ve been around for a while. However, I can go on forever about that, so let’s just launch into the review of his new track.

“Show Me Your Fangs” starts off beat heavy and vibrating with enough energy to get the listener grooving along by the time Nathanson’s vocals start crooning in their ear. The song moves along at a steady pace, and pulls the listener into the music with ease. It switches gears suddenly, deviating from the beat heavy beginning into a bigger, high noted sound for the chorus. The blend works well for the song, drawing the listener in further. The balance is wonderful, and really adds to the overall effect of the song.

All in all, it’s another great Matt Nathanson that stays in your head after it finishes playing. It really helps me to get excited for the upcoming album, and there’s only a little over a month to go before the new album is released!¬†Show Me your Fangs is presently set to be released on October 2.
