I first heard this song Monday night, when I turned the Satellite radio on just for kicks and giggles. I thought that it’d play dull pop-songs that I could fall asleep to. Not long after drifting off, I was awoken by this
A bit of background. Lindsey Stirling is an amazing violinist. But she’s not the classical type – she’s created a whole new genre and opened a whole new world for violins and violinists everywhere by mixing the sweet, sweet sounds of a violin with dub-step rock music.
I’m not all familiar with Lzzy Hale, but I have heard of her band Halestorm. Her voice when paired with Stirling’s enchanting music comes across almost as the voice of an angel. It swept me off my feet totally, and the lyrics? The lyrics were to die for. I fell in love instantly.
I love dubstep-genre cross overs and I think this might be one of my favorite ones yet. The dubstep beat mixed in with the soothing sounds of the violin and other classical elements, all flowing along to the amazing vocals presented by Lzzy Hale? It’s hard not to like this song. It captures your attention and keeps it there, and you never want it to end.
